Does Magical Vortex suck even the spells from the Genie and the Ancient Names Reward?

I have read in unnoficial FAQs that magical vortex does not affect the spells of genie.I have only the Reaper expansion so I cannot answer the effects on the other card that you say,but I can imagine that if it is similar to genie then it ios not affected by the magical vortex

According the official FAQ, the genie's spells are practically immune to all sorts of sabotage from events and other characters. The same probably applies to magical vortex, since it works the same way.
