Rules for Eldar vessels?

By Nearyn, in Rogue Trader

So... rules for eldar vessels... are there any?

I've read the core rules and Into the Storm but I can't seem to find what I'm looking for.

I've come to understand from the fluff that Eldar have some form of ship cloaking tech, and also that they use different shield tech than the impirium.

So.... is there any released sources for Eldar Ship stats? If not then how is -your- ruling?

Lure of the Expanse has an Eldar vessel in it; the component you'rethinking of is the Holofield, which imposes penalties to hit (-40 BS to hit with lances, -30 for Macrocannons, -30 for Extended actions that target the ship) and replaces the void shield.

There is more to the Eldar vessels, they are very fast and agile. Capable of maneuvers unheard of. In BFG, they could move, shoot turn up to 180 degrees and move again. However, this agility comes at a prize. They are fragile, with low armor values and low hullpoints. Think a raider but slightly worse.

Their weaponry is comparable to macro cannons or lances. And they normally have 2 batteries or 1 battery and a lance. Of course their technology makesno use of such crude weaponry and is way more sophisticated. They get a bonus to hit, have better sensors and their crew is better at what they do. Start with a basic skill of 40 and add +10 to hit.

They are eggs with sledgehammers.

Dock about 25-30% hull points off an equivalent Imperial ship

Ramp up its speed by about 40-50%

Shots made against one should just flat out miss 66% of the time with the holo/shadow field running

Big handling modifiers of about +25 to 30

Weapons.... hurt a lot and hit a lot with fairly extensive fields of fire, but they do have less of them.

Barely any crew, so if you do get onboard you can really destroy their **** really easy with a boarding action.

As already mentioned above, the only RT rules stuff on Eldar vessels is what you get in the supplements you already own.

However, if you want to get some info on Eldar ships fluff-wise, I'd recommend visiting GW's Battlefleet Gothic site (in case you shouldn't already know it) and download the core rulebook (along with the Xenos fleets (featuring stuff on Eldar corsairs), Doom of the Eldar , and Yriel's Raiders PDFs (both the latter about craftworld Eldar)).

Apart from that you can find lots of useful information on all other possible topics concerning naval warfare in the 41st millenium, such as necron tombships, space marine planetary attack fleets, chaos cult fleets, and tons of stuff around that. Very inspiring!

Thanks alot all of you :D

This was really helpful. I hope we blast those scurvy aliens to dust next time they show their filthy mugs.

Again thanks.
