Questions! shocking I know.

By Baeldeth, in Rogue Trader Rules Questions

1. Is the prosaungine once per day, or unlimited. The description doesn't show a limitation, but the example does mention a limit.

2. Does cleanse and purify apply -20% AGI to avoid the flamer, as well as -20% to not catch on fire.

3. How does righteous fury work in regards to a flamer? As it auto hits.

4. Does of a force weapon do a difference between degree's in damage if you succeed? ie. If I have 5 degree's of success, and I'm using the force weapon and they have 4 degrees. Do I do 1 degree of success worth of damage with the weapons ability, or 5 degrees worth? Can you righteous fury on the 'psychic damage' ? How do you confirm?

5. The righteous fury rules seem to flicker back and forth a lot in a lot of the text. If you righteous fury, is it an additional d10, or a complete additional roll of damage? (ie, I have a weapon that does 2d10 +2, I roll a 3 and 10. For 13, I confirm righteous fury, do I roll an additional d10, or do I roll 2d10+2 again and add it the first total?)

1. The talent summary says once per day. Dark Heresy allowed the talent use once every twelve hours, assuming you didn't over-strain your systems.

2. Strictly speaking Cleanse and Purify is -40 to avoid the initial hit, but it's vague enough that I'd say both tests incur the additional penalty.

3. GM Fiat, really. Personally I hate the Rogue Trader RF system and went back to the Dark Heresy system of an extra d10 damage. Given RT's standard system, I suppose you'd have the target roll an additional agility test to avoid being hit, dealing the additional damage that way.

4. Net successes. In your example, you would have 1 degree of success. As to Righteous Fury, I guess make another opposed Willpower test.

5. Confirm the hit, if that hit is a success, roll the damage of the weapon with all relevant bonuses. In your example, it would be an additional 2d10+2 damage. Personally, I find it slows the game down a lot, particularly with full-auto weaponry. Simpler by far to simply get an additional d10 damage.

Cleanse and purify makes it -20 on agility tests, not -40. IT is unclear to see if it applies to the roll to avoid bein gon fire or not.
