this has probably been answered day one of the rules, but searching through the forum, i couldn't find the answer.

the Whip is listed in the Ranged Weapon group, does that mean it uses the the Ranged Shot action and Ballistic Skill (AG)? It seems more like a melee weapon to me. Or maybe when you are at close range, you use the Ranged Shot action, but when you are engaged you use the Melee strike action?

How are you folks playing it?
