Looking for 4/4/4 Demo Lists

By Blutsteigen, in Mutant Chronicles

Greetings all, long time no type.

I'm showing M.C. to a different friend Sunday, he's a staple in our group and very well versed in gaming. I'd like to bump the demo from 3 to 4; does anyone have (or could they whip up) a nice 4/4/4 demo list for Algeroth vs. Cap?

It is my son's birthday today, time is a bit short, and I want something balanced for my friend this weekend. In addition, I think the G-Hammer would get him hooked. We bought a bunch of figs lately and are looking forward to jumping him in.

Thanks for any assistance

An idea (sorry if the name of the minis or command cards don't match with the original, remember my MC is spanish) gui%C3%B1o.gif

*** ALGEROTH ***

GOLD
Necromutant Defiler
Invoke Frenzy
Devourer Darkness
Token

"Invoke Frenzy" with the Emaculator it's a must have. The Necromutant is in fact three soldiers, and this circumstance seems funny for the new players. The Darkness card is for a sacrifice of the tecnomancer, or the Ezogul itself if it's very wounded.

SILVER
Gamorrian Emaculator
Ezoghoul
Black Technology
Token

Two "big guys", with a "command-counter" card. Nothing more to say.

BRONZE
Tecnomancer
Bestial Speed
Token
Token

"Bestial Speed" for the Ezoghoul, and a tecnomancer as "cannon fodder".

*** CAPITOL ***

GOLD
Ranger Commander
Bait and Switch
Point-Blank
Token

The ranger it's part of this army's core. Three rangers working together, it's a good combination. "Point-Blank" for the big baddass demons, and "Bait and Switch" for keeping alive the commander or the martian banshee.

SILVER
Elite Ranger
Martian Banshee Sargeant
Token
Token

The martian banshee it's annoying, fast, and can make double damage to double-based minis, so it sounds like a good election to me.

BRONZE
Capitol Ranger
Free Marine
Fire At Will
Token

The Free Marine it's also annoying, with the double-attack ability. "Fire At Will" with the Banshee can mean twelve green dices to a double-hexed in a row, it can make a lot of damage.

Hope this list will be useful, or at least gives you some ideas. happy.gif

Greetings Marce,

Thank you -- this is perfect! Your build resembles elements I like, including a good portion of Silver actions. You are diabolic in your level of strategy!

In addition, you've used great minis -- I am glad you included starter box units like the Free Marine. And it was quite kind of you to give the G.E. a place after my request. You've saved me a lot of time and I appreciate the effort.

I'll let all of you know how it goes -- it is almost time to get another friend hooked.

I'm happy for read the list can be useful to you, Blutsteigen. Well, the emasculator MUST appear in the list, you request it. About Capitol, I like very much the "ranger trio", and the double-damage ability of the banshee sargeant it's very useful against Algeroth (many double-based)

Thanks a lot again, and I'll be waiting the report. gui%C3%B1o.gif

Hey Marce and everyone,
Our demo went well; I was able to play a full game with two different friends, allowing them both a full experience. I ran Capitol on both missions.
For the first mission we shuffled 5 random Victory Zones, choosing 2 for the middle of the board.
Because I had to proxy one figure, our first game was a bit brief because I was down a trooper by accident. But the two of them (one watching) grasped the concepts and had the basics integrated within 15 minutes.
For round two we used two victory zones, unmodified, worth 2 vp each, in the center of the board. Kills (3/gold, etc) counted as well.
The highlight was during this 2 nd game; the G-Emasc had two rangers cornered on their objective; across the board, an untested Ezo controlled the other, raising the demonic energy and nearing utter defeat of the Capitol force by turn 3.
Suddenly one Ranger darted away with boosted speed and eliminated an enemy Necromutant by surprise. The magical noxious vapor in the air stirred as another rose from the septic pile of dead flesh, but all Algeroth shuddered as their powers began to wane to the effort.
A Banshee Sgt then sped over cover, firing point blank and AT Will into the G-Emasc threatening his companion. With a wicked explosion of iron and blood, victory reigned down for the capitol troops in seared chunks of dissipated energy.
The remaining demons panicked and left, as they fear one and only thing in the mortal realm:
The inability to continue killing.
Thanks for the list – both of them were brutal! My apologies the report was not a bit more in depth. Plenty of battles ahead, however.
My group is hooked and our local supprotive shop (The Game Preserve) is wondering what to order next!

Thanks for the review. The scene of the second battle was AWESOME! I'm happy reading the lists work in the battlefield. Can't wait to read other reports of yours (or anyone... c'mon, don't be shy, write down your reports on the forum) happy.gif

Yes, it was a great battle report (yet another one) ! Seems Capitol gave those bloody demons the hell they deserve !! (wait a minute... Isn't hell like... An home, for them? Darn...).
