Has Anyone Ever Bought/Made a "Tray" for Players' Cards During a Game?

By Mithril2, in Talisman Home Brews

I think many would agree that there are a decent amount of Talisman cards to manage during the game: followers, objects, quests, spells. Has anyone out there ever discovered or made a tray that players can use to so keep their cards nicely organized, in their own slots? If I think about it, it would seem that the ideal tray would somehow have "terraced" slots according to card category, so that each card can be visible.

Thoughts?

Thanks!

There have been quite a few players "mats" created over the years to be printed out. But overall, none of them work for everything. My group has tried a number of them and always gave up, even on a tray concept that I mocked up and assembled using layered and ridge-divided matt board. There are no many micro variations involved in what players acquire. For example, we require that anything carried by a Follower or in baggage be placed so that the connection is obvious. Then there are few followers that have spells. And so on. Not to mention some cards having token to account beyond those for a character.

Talisman in general is messy and chaotic, both inside and outside of the game's world. Organizing it is almost impossible, and often it is best left to the choices of individual based on the rules and what they've acquired during any particular game.
