Extra Spells For Shallyans in SoF

By pumpkin, in Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay

Just got SoF at last and I have had a quick look through and it the Shallyans have a rank 1 and rank 2 spell in the set, whereas it seems Morr and Sigmar only have the regular rank 3 additions.

I haven't got core set with me right now and so this is bugging me, but I assume this means that Shallyans now have more overall spells than the rest of the priest hoods, or am I missing some cards?

Cheers for any quick response

Just checked card and component list, and it seems Shallya does have a couple of extra spells in that set compared to the other priesthoods, so i guess I ain't missing anything....

I think they wanted to throw in some extra 1st and 2nd that dealt with disease.

Which is handy against the SPOILER

pestigors that I threw into the Demo scenario I ran last night ;)

Disease is a new mechanic from SoF. As Shallayans have always been described as being 'opposed to Nurgle' to the point of extremism, they needed to update the rules (actions) to account for this. Overall while they do have 2 more options than other priesthoods I don't really find this terribly unbalancing.

They seemed to die the same as regular Gors ... :P

"I shall wolfe your flesh and snap your bones, Skrind your folk and burne their homes. For mocking ked to dare my rage, your jibe it traps me like a cage. The unclaimed ones must dread my kinde, can never squander fear behind."

"One might suspect that the lower forms of the servants of darkness would be less blessed by the powers they serve than their more noble counterparts, but this is not the case. The Marks of the Dark Gods are as evident amongst these foul creatures as in any horde of debased Men. Perhaps even more so, for these Beastmen, as they are known, seem to be embraced by their gods just as parents might their children. Spawned by the very darkness that enwraps them, they are closer to the heart of Chaos than any other creatures and are to be greatly feared because of it." From the Liber Chaotica, penned by Richter Kelss, Preist of Sigmar, declared insane

It was fun having them as macros. I'll have to come up with some more phrases from th WFB beastmen manual.
