So what are you guys thinking about an extended fan rulebook for WHI?
I still think the game is great and I had great fun the year with it.
There are some flaws in card design and some holes in the rule book, but I think we should be able to fix/fill them and add more rule variants/options (multiplayer, draft ...).
The german forum had some thoughts about an initiative like this I probably could mobilise some people from there, if we got anythig started.
I think a kind of Wiki would best suit, has anyone experience with wiki software?
Intrinsic decks? No, just play the power cards!

I haven't really seen any flaws, but I do think some of it is pretty vague. (I'll Rodrick's Raiders your Withering Hex! Wait...what...?)
I think unofficial fan multiplayer/draft rules would be great.
A wiki would work, to take it further, I think an entire fan site would be cool.
I really hate how clunky this forum is, and I'm sure I'm not the only one.
We should just make our own, I'm sure a few individuals would be down to moderate.
No wikis! I hear banks can snub your funding if they don't like what you have to say....
I almost never read anything but the rules forum, but this thread caught my eye. I think its worthwhile to argue about what cards should be banned/errata'd etc, but I agree with Curator that there's not much reason to expect FFG will pay attention to your discussion, as they don't seem to devote a lot of time/resources to maintaining the competitive play environment (and when your world championships have 40 players, you can't blame them). They said this game has sold well, and based on how small their tournaments have been, there are clearly a LOT more people just buying some packs to play occasionally with friends than there are who are going to be tweaking and tuning the best possible decks.
As for extended rules, a wiki, and better forums. Extended rules are basically what I maintain over at Deckbox. Similarly, their forums are just straight up better (usability-wise) than FFGs. You can even paste text into posts! Its like their forums are from the future. Also, you can set up card mouseovers, which is the sole reason the rules FAQ is hosted there. I'll set up a second post over there with a few sets of MP rules that I've seen posted here and at BGG. I have a pretty good set of 3 and 4 player rules that I've iterated by playing with friends.
