Swallow & Spiritwalker?

By Chirisophus, in Descent: Journeys in the Dark

Can a figure that has been swallowed be the originating square for a spiritwalker attack?

-My thought is that they cannot because under the rules for swallow it states that a figure that has been swallowed is not adjacent to any other square on the board. I take this to mean that they cannot be within 5 spaces because they are essentially off the board. Any thoughts?

I'm sure this has been covered in another thread, although I admit I can't find it that easily (this forum is so crap, even the search function is rubbish).

There seemed to be general agreement with your interpretation (that it cannot). I follow it myself.

I would also like to know if the character inside the stomach may be the "conduit" for a figure which has the spiritwalker ability within range of the creature.

That is what the OP asked.

If it doesn't work one way, then it won't work the other way either.

I'd say that since the Swallowed model is on the stomach tile, it is no longer on the board, and hence it's impossible to measure his "distance" in tiles from the conduit (or from the mage, should the Swallowed model be used as a conduit).
