I have figured out how to send PMs. However, for literal months now, I have not been able to see my mailbox. What am I missing?

IIRC you don't have a seperate mailbox here, PMs from the forums are redirected to your registered email.

Yep. That's the way I've always received them.
Any PMs you would send would have to be a "friend invite".
I was also confused before and looked around for awhile not figuring it out.

Once you have someone on your friends list, you can send them PMs (go to your friends list, which can be accessed from your profile page - each friend has a button marked with an envelope, which is the PM option), which are delivered directly to the email address they signed up to the forums with.
Ahhh. Ok then. Thanks for clearing that up. It had been bugging the hell out of me for the longest while. i wonder what e-mails i've missed or spammed. Hmmm...
