Visual version (ie. see the cards) of the World Championship 2010 deck-lists

By toastcrumbs, in Warhammer Invasion Deck Building

Hi,

I was having trouble digesting the World Championship 2010 deck-lists presented on the FFG page ( www.fantasyflightgames.com/edge_nrep.asp ) so I used DeckBox ( www.deckbox.org ) to create a visual reference for each of the top 8 decks.

I found it a lot easier to digest the deck-lists once I could actually see all the cards.

So now I'm posting it up in case it's useful to anyone else. Here are the links:

Note that, should you prefer, you can click a link on the deck page to see these decks presented as a list, where it's possible to mouse-ove the card-name to see a picture of that card.

Cheers.

Very cool, great job.

Really interesting to see how much the restricted cards were relied upon.

And I can promise you that I would have had Reclaim the Fallen in my deck as well, if it had been out at the time.

This is excellent. our group is just starting out so having a easily accessible visual reference is great to see how the top dogs put it all together.

Thanks!

I'm really glad that people found it useful. Maybe I'll do the same again for the decks of the 2011 finalists when they are announced.

I remember helping to play test for this last year and it still shocks me not to see a single destruction deck in the top 8. Dwarves were far and away the best but how didn't an Orc mid-range or rush at least contend?

Master Rune of Spite. That one card was enough to shut down the rush decks, and it did a number on other decks as well.

I accidentally deleted ALL my decks on Deckbox.org (I meant to delete my Magic: The Gathering profile, and accidentally deleted my Warhammer: Invasion Profile - Doh!)

Fortunately, they had been copied so many times, by so many people*, I was able to re-copy most of them back in to my Profile.

Unfortunately, all the URLs have changed.

The 2010 Championship winning deck can now be found here: http://deckbox.org/sets/71781

The decks of all the other contenders can be easily navigated to from there (because I really can't be bothered to put up all the individual URLs again).

(* Just goes to show that it was worth the effort of creating them on Deckbox in the first place. It's always nice to have your efforts appreciated).

Cheers all,

Toast.
