Any chance of a teaser.....umm Bill?

By Aussie_Digger2, in Tide of Iron

I understand That Bill Jaffe has come up with some scenarios for FotB. Bill any chance you can give all of us a teaser, what we can expect? please

Who else has worked on the scenarios of FotB?

I have found that the scenarios Bill , Dana and Corey have made for Toi would have to be the most enjoyable. DotF were awsome love playing through them.

I'm so desperate for news on this...

... that I'd be thrilled if Bill just responded and posted in this thread; even if he just said "Hi". babeo.gif

Hey i did design scenarios for fury but i promised FFG i would keep mum so they could release the info. I will say i had serious fun with all of them and both sides face challenges in every one.

good to hear well i really enjoyed all your Dotf ones so looking forward the FotB just have to wait for some more info from FFg, thought we would have heard some more by now

Me too.

I don't know when that will be...

Although I do hope it will be before I retire; the next preview, I mean.

The game...I don't know what to guess on that one. Hopefully by Easter 11'?

Maybe that's a little too optimistic though.

We'll say...4th of July 2011'?

WAIT!

When was the first preview?

I'm going to say one year from the date of the first preview...not for the second preview, but for the release date for FotB.

I mean, the game is called Fury of the Bear, right?

And what do Bears do in the winter? That's right, they hibernate. bostezo.gif

So this game is hibernating right now.

When it comes to, in the spring, we'll get the second preview. aplauso.gif

Then it's mating season, so there'll be another month or two we won't hear anything, although that could pay off with another map pack next fall. gran_risa.gif

So...whatever the date was that they released the first preview...go to the next year at that time, and I'll say that is when the game will be released.

Another reason it's called Fury of the Bear is because people who pre-paid for the game are going to be furious. enfadado.gif

The rest of us will have aged quite a bit, but not nearly as much as the people who pre-paid. corazon_roto.gif

you all do know that the Russian Bear likes to Attack in the winter? it wasn't untill summer of 43 that the Russian's launched succesfull summer attacks.

Hmm.... Bill do you know something we don't?

Hi!

I think TOI is dead. Why?

Look at Civilization! That was anounced later than FotB but now you can download the rules.

At the moment there are no rules download availbale for FotB. I think that would be a minimum support of FFG to the game. But why isn´t it?

It is quite alive and well on my tabletop at least. I am currently testing a scenario on Kampfgruppe Walther's attempt at cutting Hell's Highway during Market Garden. I will upload it once it is ready for wider testing.

Hi!

Sorry, you´re right!

The community is still alive! The support of FFG for the game is dead.

It's alive and well on my table too. In fact I just purchaced some additional expansions yesterday so I could do larger battles.

Alive here too, I have all the expansions and have just ordered another copy of DotF for the same reason as Cyscott1. In the future Im hoping to provide some articles and scenarios to the "wave of steel" publication by AnglePark (If he likes what I have come up with)

I really hope ToI Continues I love the system and the componants, Its just like what they said in the FFG video, its a tool box which allows you to come up with your own scenarios. I just wish they stuck with this tool box idea and had an updated sceario editor, as that is missing from the "Tool box". I wouldnt mind paying for un updated editor either as I know alot of work has to go into it.

Please FF allow for future ToI releases.

My gut feelng is that BJaffe01 is trying, although he has been placed under the Cone of Silence, to tell us here to have faith.

ToI is a great game, and although I love to poke fun at it here and there for it's turtle like slowness in releasing any kind of useful information what-so-ever about the game, I have every confidence we will see FotB. My hope is that by opening the Russian Front, ToI will gain some momentum, and the system will soldier on. (Into the Pacific)

Here's to hoping we'll see FotB before Xmas! corazon.gif
