Arkham Horror Batrep (story form)

By Mabinogian, in Arkham Horror Second Edition

I don`t know if giving a link is illegal here or not (my intentions are good) so if this thread banishes, I`ll know the Ancient Ones disapprive..

I played a game the other day and wrote it into a battle report/short story. I thought maybe you might like a read :-)

No way I can read this before heading out the door to class! But Arkham Horror definitely lends itself to faux-narrative very, very well. I will read it when I actually have the time (it will be a busy weekend) but I did notice that you included pictures and that's great for illustrating to players what your story meant in terms of game mechanics.

Here's one I wrote for the fun of it some time ago. Bear in mind that this was before Epic Battle (and updated Cthulhu) so things likely would have been different:

Near-Death of a Salesman

WOW Tibs, that was a great battle (in acton) game report... I thoroughly enjoyed it.

it was really nice to see the moves unfold slowly and the game develop as time rolled on; it felt like I was there :-)

Thanks for that,

mab

Tibs,

Enjoyed the story ~ one curious question, however...Flamethrower is a two-handed weapon...di I miss something in the story that would allow Bob to use both the Flamethrower and the .45?

The Professor

I mentioned it at the end to say that Bob is both crazy and armed, which is a very dangerous combo.
