The Mega armour

By Adaras, in Rogue Trader Rules Questions

Hey everybody

I going to play an Ork freeboota soon and I was a little sad when I saw how little armour there was there. So I was looking in the creatures anathama or what is is called :) and found the mega armour. I got really really happy because my freeboota is a mekboy and he could probaly built it given enough time.

BUt what are your thoughts? would it be reasonable to bring the mega armour to Rogue Trader?

No reason why not, power armor's just as available.

Mega Armor also has some pretty severe drawbacks compared to power armor. Shorter active lifespan being the most obvious, and complete lack of anything like stealth. I know regular Power Armor isn't exactly stealthy either, but Mega Armor isn't just non-stealthy...its downright obnoxiously noisy, smoky and smelly.

So yeah, in a situation calling for massive firepower and brute force and where longevity is not a critical issue, why shouldn't the orc be able to suit up along with the other players?

Well longevity and Ork Tech dosn“t really fit together haha

And for the whole refueling thing :P thats what you have Gretchins for

Also in creatures anathema it says your size increase by one factor so if your Hulking you become enourmous or how you spell it?

Will you then be roughly the size of the Ork Warboss?

See my ride in the back ground?

Yeah, seems like you'd be a mini-Dreadnaught.

Killa Kan incoming?

And yeah, I was thinking that myself...a huge power armored Freebooter, followed by a long train of Snotlings and Gretchins running constant supplies of fuel, ammo and power packs to the armor.

That's almost too Orcy to NOT allow it...=P

I can like see this Ork freeboota wrestling against sentinels :P or trying to keep an Arvus lighter down on the ground :P
