Hello and Welcome Back, Loyal A Game of Thrones Fans!

As the next Chapter Pack in the Brotherhood Without Banners cycle, A Song of Silence, is just about to release, thus dropping a bigffg_content/agotlcg/news/card-of-the-week/cotw37/silent-assassin-lg.png splash of Greyjoy Raider love into the card pool, we thought we would take this opportunity to look at some of the cards that non-Greyjoy players would find interesting. While we didn't want to spoil the whole pack for you, we did want to entice some players and warn some others, so this week's very interesting cards come from the poisonous shadows of House Martell.

poisoned-knife-sm.pngWe start with Poisoned Knife, another one of the growing assortment of nasty Martell attachments. Anyone who has been on the other end of a Venomous Blade* knows that Martell daggers can be exceptionally cruel and Poisoned Knife is no exception. With a Poisoned Knife in play, an opponent is compelled to keep gold or influence handy to prevent the discard of non-stealth characters and is thus win-win for House Martell: in addition to sneaking past opponents' characters, Poisoned Knife can be used to alternately tie up vital resources or discard characters. Hopefully, if you find yourself on the other side of a Poisoned Knife you will be able to either get rid of it directly or otherwise target and kill the character it is attached to.

silent-assassin-sm.pngUp next, we have the deadly bait-and-switch, the Silent Assassin. Say you commit to an attack and your opponent commits a stronger defense. In creeps the Silent Assassin. While you would still lose the challenge, if you have more Deadly characters in the challenge (and you most likely do) your opponent still has to kill a character. The especially mean part about Silent Assassin is that he has all three icons and can potentially jump into any challenge, so any opponent facing a Silent Assassin has to try and guess which challenge he may lose a character in. Fortunately for everyone opposing him, he only has 1 STR, and so is fairly easy to get rid of through targeted effects**, but while he's in play he looms dangerously.

And that's it for this week's card spoiler. Hopefully you have plenty to discuss here in the comments and in the A Game of Thrones forums. See you next week!

* The Battle of Blackwater Bay, F115
** Targaryen burn, for example.
