PDF character sheet added to character generator on malleus.dk

By Thomas62, in Dark Heresy

Hello there - we have just added our own printable PDF character sheet to the character generator on mallues.dk

Its a two page character sheet that will print your skills, talents, weapons, armor and equipment. Please note that we are working on including a section with psychic powers.

You can find the generator here: malleus.dk/Ordo/NpcGenerator

Click on a character and then click on the "Write to PDF" image in the top of the page.

We hope you like it.

The only drawback is that you no longer have any excuse for showing up at the next game session without an updated character sheet. ;-)

Not working for me.

Running Firefox on OS X clicking the .pdf thing gives the following pop-up error message:

"Download error

/Users/Tarald/Downloads/PdfSheet.aspx could not be opened, because an unknown error occurred.
Try downloading to disk first..."

Hi Darth Smeg - I do not own a Mac so I cannot investigate the issue.

I have tried it with the following browsers on Windows 7 machine: IE8, Chrome and Firefox.

Have you tried to save right-click the PDF link and "Save targe as" ? When you save it make sure that you .pdf as the file type.

If this is not working I suggest giving Google a try. If you resolve this issue please let me know and what the solution was.

Regards

Thomas

The pdf generator is very nice keep up the good work.

Oh man, that is so cool! I use your site for all of my heavy hitter NPCs. You guys have no idea how much time you've saved me. Keep up the great work.

Really cool tool!

Are you going to allow entry of elite advancements?

Thanks for the nice words. :-)

Support for psykers is now also included in the character sheet

With respect to elite advances, I am currently considering how to include them.

Trying "save as", and it is trying to save the "PdfSheet.aspx" to disk.

It works nicely in Safari, for some reason

Hi Darth Smeg - great that it is working with Safari. :-)

The other problem is probably related to the Firefix plugin in firefox.

I override the mime-type of the PdfSheet.aspx file to application/pdf which should normally trigger the browser to see as PDF.

Maybe the tool you use to view with is looking at the file extension instead of the mime-type.

Thomas

That sounds like a ritual reserved for the inner circle brethren of the Mechanicus.

I have not heard of the Firefix plugin. And how do I check Mime types?

Ha ha - and since I have now divulged these secrets to you I must convert you to a servitor skull. :-)

Anyway, its good to hear that you have workaround. I have a friend that owns Mac. I will ask him to help me out.
