Need help! Legacy *Donovan*

By MegaGeese, in UFS Deck Building

So I want to build a Legacy version of my beloved *Donovan*...but I've no experience in Legacy, so I don't know where to start, other than taking my old version and retooling it! Help!

Here's the version I took to Worlds, minus the banned Syndicate, Revitalize, and Rank:

Characters: 0 + 1 (starter)
1x *Donovan* - Starting Character

Actions: 10
4x You Will Not Escape
3x Start Over
3x Yoga Teleport

Assets: 12
4x Lynette's Shop
4x Olcadan's Mentoring
3x Seal of Cessation
1x Assassination Arts

Attacks: 11
4x Lance De Leon
4x Shoulder Rush
3x Tiamat's Rampage

Foundations: 50
4x Blood Runs True
4x Cursed Blood
4x Lost Memories
4x The Curse Broken
3x Experienced Combatant
3x Fight or Flight
3x Friends and Rivals
3x Martial Arts Champion
3x Revenant's Calling
3x The Red Lotus of the Sun
3x Treachery
2x Amy's Assistance
2x Charismatic
2x Cutting Edge
2x Fight for the Future
2x Terrible Discovery
2x Trade Your Passion for Glory
1x Giradot's Leadership

Splits: 4
2x Heisheng Jian
2x Rigorous Training

Or at least that's what I can remember =/

Okay, so this is the best I could come up with by myself (and with a little bit of help to boot). At this point, I've got what I need in the deck (as far as I know, at least), so the problem becomes slimming the deck down to something like 70 cards; from experience, I know that even at about 70 cards, the deck still plays pretty **** well (for block 2, anyway), so I'm shooting for 65-70 cards total.

Okay, now I've got some ideas for what would need to get in...but now I'm stuck. I need a solid attack string. I need a kill card, which means I'm sticking with either Death or Good, because Order's got terrible kill cards for this sort of deck, particularly with 3-checks and that don't need momentum (otherwise it'd be friggin' sSTun attacks leading into Neo Raging Storm).

I don't have any experience with Death. I know the default is Tiamat's Rampage, which is typically prefaced by something into a Shoulder Rush (Roundhouse Kick, I think?). But it doesn't feel right. I thought about Splash Fount or Ichi no Tachi, but they're not quite right, either. I don't have Feline Spikes, but I DO have Darkness Blade (Good's only other solid non-momentum requiring attack being Stone Wall Thrust).

Secondly...I need to cut down on the cards, BIG TIME. This deck is meant to slow down the gamestate and control the opponent's options. It really doesn't have to do very much else. I can't go into specifics, but let's just say slowing down the other guy is the most important thing for this deck to do, BUT it still needs to be able to finish someone off. That is, it needs to slow the game, but still needs to be reliable.

PLEEEEEEZE HELP! I'll be your best friiiiiiiieeeeeeeeend...

If you go with the death attack string leading into Tiamat's, you can use 4 of Spin Knuckle, Lance de Lion, Shoulder Rush and Tiamat's Rampage. If you decide to go with a Good attack string, you could go with Heavenly Phoenix Dancing Stomp, Swooper Kick, Somersault Kick, and Darkness Blade.

Wheres the Treachery!!!

Dear lord, that's a really good card =O

Attack string will be Lane De Leon, Shoulder Rush, and Timmy.

Working in copies of Treachery now.

Donovan + Treachery = No more staging area for you!

It is definitely worth the two check. Awesome card, and with that out, you really don't have to worry about the kill cards. If you stall well enough, you can end the game with Treachery, Treachery, Start Over, go. From then on, you can ping them to death, mill them, kill em with boredom. Whatever you want.
