Flying monster & Sky location question: Are my assumption correct?

By Spudgunner, in Arkham Horror Second Edition

A flying monster has spawned from a portal; as such, its logically in a location. The rules always differentiates between a Location & Street Area. When the rules explain the conditions that sends the flying monster go to the sky area, it only says so from a Streat Area but does not mention what happens to them in Location.

Am I right to assume that ...

1. Flying monsters at Locations, never go to the sky area (regardless of investigator's whereabouts)?
1.1. Assuming 1 is true: when they move to a street area during the mythos-monster movement phase, when there are no investigators around-about, they immediately go to the sky area in the same turn.
1.2. Assuming 1 is true, and they move to a location or street area and when there is an investigator in an adjacent area, they extend their movement and go there and attempt an attack.
(A) Investigators immediately follow the Evade, Attack procedure just like in their own movement phase
(B) Evade/Attack procedure is postponed until the player movment phase.

When the flying monster occupies the Sky Area, am I right to assume that ...

2. Flying monsters ignore regular movement (since there are no arrows from the sky area). However, from a game mechanics point-of-view, its as though they occupy every street area at the same time.
2.1 The flying monsters will only leave the sky area when
(A) their symbol appears on a mythos card, and
(B) when there is a investigator in a Street Area.
If either A or B is not true, they stay in the sky.

Investigators that end their turn in a street Area can be attacked. However, when an Investigator moves to a location, but via a Street Area, am I right to assume...

3. Investigators movement is interrupted in the Street Area to deal with a flying monster is in the sky. This assumes 2 above is true.
3.1 Investigators can be attcked by flying monster during...
(A) the Movement phase and...
(B) monster movement phase

Sorry about the number of questions gran_risa.gif

Nope, they can go from location straight to Sky. If no investigator at the location (not that there could be if the gate just opened, they'd be sucked in) and no investigator in the street connected to the location (Merchant District Street for Unvisited Isle for example), flyer -> Sky (assuming of course the correct symbol was on the Mythos card). This is clarified in the FAQ (that one we already have).

Even if there is an investigator in the connected street, no evade/fight takes place until that investigator's next movement phase.

Correct, expansions naturally add a few twists.

Flyers don't really attack, they more swoop down if called to move to an investigator in a street. Any interaction (evade/fight) takes place during the investigator's movement phase.

Thanks for clearing that up, the games flows so much better when your not fretting over the rules.

I might keep some of my "wrong assumptions" as variations. Such as external locations (Woods, train station) = sky, but buildings means move to street when their symbol is called, then go to the sky.

Your Arkham's buildings don't have windows or roofs gran_risa.gif ? Actually, no-roofs should make it easier for flyers to get to the Sky.
