who is the character in the picture?
The Power of Blood is Jaime Lannister when hes fighting Brienne.
The Power of Faith is Mel owning the old guy at storm's end.
I have been trying to figure it out, but I don't know who died from a spear through the chest in that particular fashion.
Eddard Stark
Not Eddard I don't think (at least, not according to the books - besides, the warrior in the illustration has a dragon crest on his shield), but before anyone else replies, please be careful of SPOILERS! (Maybe re-name the title of the thread, if that's possible?)
in the card coffin there is an image per house and the image of the plot is for stark. So it must be Eddard Stark. If not they made a great error in the past making the card coffin:

I don't think its Eddard, he gets beheaded not killed with a spear. It could be a stark bannerman though
in the coffin each house has a Representative for his house: Theon, Dragon, Clegane, Melisandre. The look is the one of Eddard. And surely they didn't put a Bannerman in the coffin. Coldhands in the card mount a horse so... design error can happen...
The presence of Clegane and Mel rather than Tywin and Stannis (or Robert) strengthen the argument it can be someone other than the head of the house, and someone other than Eddard. I was just hoping someone knew some novel trivia and could identify the scene or story it comes from.
you are right... must be the kennel master!!! Anyway nobody in house stark has that symbol and nobody died by a spear... so maybe is nobody...

The image has never been identified with any specific character. It is likely an artists rendition "inspired by" the material rather than intentionally depicting a particular character or scene. Remember that not every artist who has worked on the game has been a devotee of the books and could easily have intended something that doesn't match up to any particular scene.
For what it's worth, the art first appeared on an event card called "Never Surrender!", which triggered after a Stark character was killed. There are plenty of "battles in the snow" from the books that this could fit in to, but regardless of the intent (which may well have been Eddard), it does not depict any particular individual or scene. Cool art though, huh?
Ya, its one of my favourites. "Winter is Coming" is definitely up there too.
