I'll be picking one of these up ASAP... but the question I have is this:

You mentioned that you have the big box expansions and Lurker.. what about the other 3 small ones? Is that just pushing things to get it all in one case?

As I said before, I have all expansions, and I don't even have any of the encounter cards or Other World cards included (I use a program on my iPod for those), and I still couldn't really come close to fitting everything in the box. With two boxes, yes, there's plenty of room, and probably all of those encounter and OW cards would easily fit, too, if I needed them to (but I'm saving the extra space for the minis and future expansions, if any). But I can't imagine all of that fitting into one box.

Regardless, it's a really nice fit for storing this game... the place for the investigator and GOO sheets is a perfect fit, and it just seems meant to work for this game.

Same here. I have all expansions and wasn't able to fit all the cards into the box. I'm able to fit a good majority of the cards, AO sheets, Investigator sheets, all monster tokens and investigator tokens, plus all the boards into this box and then I have a plastic container that fits all the rest.

Good to know.

My hope is to eventually have it so you can pull out tuckboxes for each expansion so that a game can be thrown down relatively quickly. Of course, I also have a delusional dream of sleeving my entire game, which will just completely blow all of the storage requirements I have out of the water.

Here's a printable 40% off one item Hobby Lobby coupon good until Saturday 11/27.www.hobbylobby.com/weekly/coupon.cfm

I'm probably going to stop on my way home tonight and get this.

They were running a 30% off sale for the cases, so I bought two of them. I didn't buy enough of the 50-card cases, though. That's where my issue is going to come with storing this.

Yeah, I need some of the 50 card cases as well. There's a 20 pack on the net for $10, I wonder if I should bite the bullet and get that.

Also, I showed my wife the eBay auction where a guy is selling this $15 case as a "custom Settlers case" for $60+ with no modifictions, and I'm wondering if there might be a small market to buy several of these stain them in various colors and do decollage/woodburning. Make a green AH one with an Elder Sign on the front, a red Settlers of Catan case with hexes on the front, etc. I wonder what would be a reasonable price for such a thing? Obviously, I couldn't use actual trademarks or copyrighted images.

Yeah but the shipping on that is like 5-6 bucks. No way I'd pay 50% of the price of the product in shipping.

I'll buy them, and then sell them to you for $25 plus $5 shipping. That way, you'll only be paying 20% of the price in shipping. gui%C3%B1o.gif

Can someone take a measurement of the flat part of the lid. It should be around 1 5/8 of an inch (wrote this down but doesn't sound right now). I am going to mount a brass plate and need to know how much space I have to work with. Thanks in advance!

Well, said, good sir. happy.gif

I did some quick calculations and it looks like you may be able to fit a lot more into this box if you were to take the tray out and stand the large cards on their edge, length wise in two rows (should be room enough for 1,920 cards, no sleeves or boxes) and then stand the investigator cards up on their short end in one row (about 960 cards). Using quarter inch dividers between each row would leave about 6.375 inches by 12.125 inches to store all the other pieces. Putting the investigators in, would then leave 6.375 x 5.125 space for all the tokens. I have hammered two wooden slates to the front of the tray in the lid and put bracers in the lid to prevent the tray from falling open all the way, and it has plenty of room to store the boards and rules. I have my health and sanity in one altoids tin and my money in another which could fit in one of the two rows for mythos cards.

Kinda typing this out while thinking it through. I just remembered the monster and investigator chits. There is some space in the lid beside the board and rules. I'm sure I could rig something up to hold one or both. Hell, the monster tokens can easily be put into a bag and set into the lid without having to alter anything.

Unfortunately, I only have Dunwich Horror and the base game, so I can't really test this idea out; it's all theory and math right now. It would be greatly appreciated if someone would give this a quick test and report back how it works out. If it does work, I'd end up lining the whole thing in felt so the wood wouldn't damaged the edge of the cards.
