Question on Baseline

By Pedro Lunaris, in Battlelore

Guys, Call to Arms refers to "baseline" when explaining where the reserves can be deployed. It also talks about "same baseline" when explaining where to deploy a unit that was marked in a card to be on an actually unpassable terrain on the map.

I didn't find the exact explanation for that term, "baseline", on the glossaries. I wonder: it refers to a specific horizontal line on the map (thus, for a unit marked to be deployed on an unpassable terrain hex, you have to choose another hex on that same horizontal line of hexes, in that quadrant)? Or to the first 4 lines on each side?

And regarding the reserves as well, the baseline refers to the first horizontal line on each side, or any of the first four?

Thanks!

Pedro, in a game on a single board, the baseline is referring to the first row (or bottom of the board, in relation to whichever side one is taking). In an Epic game (using two boards) the baseline refers to the second row. Any unit that is to be deployed on an impassable terrain hex is to be placed along the baseline in the same section as it was to originally be placed.

The reserves are to be placed upon any hex (as long as it is also not impassable terrain :) ) along the baseline. The same definition as the baseline used for the deployment cards, i.e. the first row in a single board game, the second row in an Epic game.

thank you very much, toddrew!
