This may be an error on my part, but I can't seem to find any real game-play purpose for the North marker. Could someone please explain to me any possible relevance this has to the game, or is it mainly just there for flavor?

But sometimes directions matter and they are referred to as North/East/South/West. So having a North marker helps remind which direction is which without having to refer to the quest map.

So it's mostly just there for flavor, it seems. I kind of figured as much, I just wanted to make sure there wasn't more to it that I was missing. Thanks.
