So whatever happend to Teclis and The Changeling cards we were promised from League Play results??

By Wytefang, in Warhammer: Invasion The Card Game

Anyone remember the two cards - one Order (Teclis), and one Destruction (The Changeling) - that FFG said would be up for production based on the results of League Play around the word? The deal was that players from the Leagues would send in their results from the first FFG W:I Leagues and the side that won the most matches (Order or Destruction) would have their card produced in a not-far-off expansion.

Well it's been quite a while and we're actually coming up on the Third Cycle of Battlepack expansions with no sign in sight of these promised cards.

For the record, I was never keen on not having both of them become real cards in the first place, rather than just one of them (as they both seemed really cool and really useful, for the most part), but it'd be nice to at least hear something about these cards (which one won, when we might see it in an expansion, anything).

What's the word, FFG? My guess is they probably forgot all about this League promotion and/or simply didn't have enough official Leagues to support figuring out which side won out. :(

Then I say, print both! I didn't like the Elf hero too much near the early game, but an ability like that is worth way more now than it was then. The changeling would also be very fun and something Chaos could use.

The League Play result for A Game of Thrones LCG were never made public, although FFG did eventually print and included the winners in a monthly Chapter Pack (AGoT's version of the Battle Pack) about a year and a half down the road (League Play announced on Jan 2, 2009 -> CP released on July 12, 2010)

Since the announcement of Invasion's the League Play vote was a year ago...we have a few more months to go if this pattern holds. Hopefully by the end of the next BP cycle.

Cool, thanks for the comments guys (and for your insight, Ruvion). :)

Is there somewhere the cards can be seen? Just so I can drool.
