The AGoT LCG NY Players are once again organizing our day after Thanksgiving AGoT joust tournament, its sixth installment. Details are available at www.AGoTNY.net. Please check there periodically for updates and email me at [email protected] if you expect to attend. Please include your shirt size as we are working to again have t-shirts if there is sufficient numbers and interest. (If you cannot make it, but would like a t-shirt nonetheless, feel free to email me about that and we can make arrangements for you to purchase one if we end up ordering them.)

Kudos to LGR for egtting those snazzy t shirts once again.

I'll make the arrangements for the Black Friday Cup - and to all NY players" Lets focus on keeping the Cup here in NY: where it rigthfully eblongs!!

We usually meet up at the cafe every ~3 weeks (give or take a week). Since BF is coming up, we'll probably be meeting every two weeks. LGR usually announces and organizes the NYC meetups. You can e-mail him at [email protected], if you'd like to be added to the mailing list. Currently we have no scheduled meetup.

As for GT, some of us are meeting there this Saturday, Oct. 30 at 2:30 PM. I'm going to try and schedule a Wednesday or Thursday event for our next meetup. Unfortunately many of the folks that normally play can't meet during the week (i.e. I'm busy on Wednesdays, another player is busy on Thursdays). Those nights are also themed towards different games (i.e. board games, roleplaying, etc.), but I'll try to work something out for all of us. Are there any particular weeknights that don't work for you, or that you would prefer playing on?

It looks like the cost of the t-shirts, if ordered in sufficient quantity, will be around $12 a pop. This is for a high quality t-shirt with a multicolor silk screening. The art will be the logo you see at the top of this thread. I don't mind eating some cost in the form of paying for surplus shirts to get to that ~$12 cost point (as we end up using the extra shirts as prizes at other events or sell them to people who later decide they want to one), but I do want to know that a decent portion will be paid for by players attending BF VI (and thus covering the cost with a portion of their entry fee) or people simply buying them (either BF VI participants who want more than one or other folks who won't be there but want to buy one).

So, if you are planning to attend BF VI, please email me and include your shirt size (and if you want more than one, just let me know). If you won't be at BF VI but want a t-shirt, email me and we can make arrangements for your t-shirt to go home with someone you know who will be at BF VI or for me to mail it to you. Thanks.

Can I up my order to two T-shirts? I would like 1x large (for me) and 1x small (for my little brother, who may show up at some point).

Looking forward to attending :)

You sure can, as soon as you update the meta info in your signature. gui%C3%B1o.gif In seriousness, you're welcome to get as many as you like as it'll help me reach the order size minimum that'll get the cost down to ~$12.

I have no idea what my work schedule will be for that week, but if i'm off I will be headed up.

two will be coming from DC, myself and steve. i'll take a medium t-shirt; he'll take a large. really looking forward to taking another whack at the title gui%C3%B1o.gif

Could you email me at [email protected] with your and your friend's names and t-shirt sizes? Thanks.

If you plan at being at Black Friday, please email me by this Friday (11/12) with your t-shirt size as I would like to get the t-shirt order in this weekend and I can't assure you that I'll have your size on hand if you don't give me a specific size. Thanks.

I got reply via email on this but think it should be noted here as well, the 4th Brotherhood pack will be legal.

And yes I will be attending.

The t-shirts are in. Btw, I think this is the crispest silkscreening yet --the lines are very sharp (the compressed jpg doesn't do them justice) which look nice even up close.

This will eb thei first big tournament in a while where I am really not sure what House will be most heavily preresented. But not becuase the playing field has been levelled and all are competitive. Rather I think those silly north agendas will be everywhere and they cna be run out of a couple of Houses.

I won't be counting on very many challenge pahse effects - those stupid armies pretty much make it you can't guarantee a challenge pahse win - and so you cna't count on getting any challenge based effects off.

I don't know, I think the errata on The North agendas and some player "exhaustion" with them will probably translate into very few of them being played if any. What I'm wondering is how many Brotherhood and/or uber-Beric decks there'll be.

Shirts look awesome. Can't wait for next Friday!

Separately, as Stag said, I'm curious to see what the field looks like. I expect something similar to the Days of Ice and Fire top 8, but that could be way off.

Given that different players will be there and in smaller quantity I'm not really sure what to expect. I guess we'll know by Friday!

I really wish I could come and meet everyone over some games. Maybe we can have some of you come down to DC for a future tourney.

I'm sure during Regionals season Paul and I will head down to DC.

A lot of players travel up and down the Eastern US area during regionals, so most likely yes like Fatmouse said you will see most of us make an appearance at your local DC regional when it gets held.

You guys have probably already started playing, but good luck to all.

Can't wait to hear some reports!!!

Well I know two of the top 4...

Me - Baratheon Summer... with a surpising amount of draw.

Anthony (grr arg) - This crazy voltron Breic deck. Honestly his deck should not work, it's classic eggs in basket. But I beat him in the swiss through marya and brienne shutting two taste of bloods (and he had devious on him as well), and racing with Mel. Also only time in at least 3 years I've had characters milked. Anthony.... this bud's for you...

Eric is also there, and sorry but I forgot the name of his opponent. (i'm bad with Names).

So non top 4 I know of.

Jesse - Stark. I sort of pounced him, I had renly, stormlands, summer, and val. And I think 2 narrow escapes in my opening hand.

Dan - A really well executed Martel deck that just shut-me-down.

(Another guy I forgot the name of... sorry). Martel deck, he opened with Elaria and taste for blood, and managed to get to 12 power on turn 1. And then drew locations the rest of the game.

Anthony was my next play.

Then Stag. The first time I've actually played him. He ran targ, I won on plot 3. He made a mistake the last round, and let me kneel his two characters with kingroads. Had he attacked I would have been at 13 power (5 on bob? ) and little in saves, and just val in hand. I may have been able to come back with val, or he may have gotten the time to lock me.

I came out in 4th.

The results are now posted on www.AGoTNY.net. You can see each player's rating, house, and agenda (if any) and round-by-round results. Please let me know if you see any errors.

Thanks to everyone who participated and a bonus thanks to (a) the out-of-towners who are willing to trek into New York and (b) Anthony (FatMouse) and Chris (Stag Lord) who made up the other 2/3rds of the "organizing committee" for the tournament. Thanks also to FFG and The Compleat Strategist game store, each of which graciously provided prize support for the event.

Note that I still have t-shirts available if you're interested in purchasing one. You'll kick yourself if you don't and you later get a chance to see one in person. gui%C3%B1o.gif

Oh, before something bothers to ask, no, I don't know what I was thinking when I decided to play a treaty deck *again* against a skilled AGoT LCG field. llorando.gif

Photos will follow...

Thanks again for everything, Jason! You ran a fantastic tourney! (Sorry I had to duck out a bit early, and hopefully it wasn't too disruptive to the standings/STR of schedules, etc.)

By the way, just thought I'd note that Anthony had (by far) the most unique deck, in my opinion, at least of the people who I played against. Full of interesting twists/surprises, even for Martell. Very innovative and effective!
