Getting Errata'd cards

By Jaysin1414, in Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay

I purchased 2 Core Sets and every release to date (up to Signs of Faith, which should be available to buy in my area sometime this week).

My question is this...

It's my understanding that I don't really need to purchase the upcoming Vaults (other than the Creature Vault) because they're replicating bits n' pieces of which I already have a plethora.

The issue is that some cards have been updated and I believe it was said that the updated cards are going to be released in either the Player Vault or the GM Vault. Is there another distribution method for those of us that bought the Core Set (or two)? I'm usually a completist, and have every intention of buying the upcoming Guide Books - I just don't see the need to buy the Vaults as I'm already having storage issues with the bits I already own.

Love the current game - love the idea of the upcoming hard covers. No complaints in either direction. I just want to know if folks in my situation can get the updated cards without the Vaults. I'm happy to mail FFG the current cards to get the updated ones as replacements (as long as the process is fast, as they're pretty important cards and I can't go without for very long happy.gif), or pretty much any other process that FFG might have in mind.

If this has been answered ad nauseum, my sincere apologies.

Jason

FFG made the cards available via pdf download (on the Support page). If you use card sleeves, you can print these out and slip them in front of the existing card and pretty much can't tell he difference. If you are looking for actual printed stock, FFG has not stated any plans to make these cards available separately outside their inclusion in the Player's Vault. Probably not the answer you were hoping for, but it's the only one we have at this time.

Thanks for the update.

Yeah - not exactly what I was looking for, but nothing I'm going to get overly upset over. I've enjoyed the game as-is, so I'm not gonna lose it over a few cards. :)

Besides, too much good stuff coming that I am gong to buy to worry about a few things I'm not gonna buy.

It is really a pity... I can understand you Jaysin1414

I like the new aproch to rpg very much as it makes it easy for newcomers to enter into the game rather than wondering on what page the rules are to be found. Key to this is that you have the "correct" cards on your table. Selfmade errata prints are ok but not the same.

Why isn't FFG employing the same policy as they did with the TI3 expansion. You could send them the misprints and get the new ones. This even worked without problems for me (sending the cards from the old world to the new world). And on top of that FFG was fast in replacing them. That really won a BIG favor for FFG.

FFG is without doubt proud to produce goog quality products. It is sad that there are no replacements available. Why upset the customers who bought the product in the first place? I'd really like to see the replacement policy of TI3 here.

I second this Feqz, and had been wondering whether they would finally be announcing replacements now that they were actually in print.

A while back, I bought a copy of their board game Warrior Knights. This game contains 250-300 cards. Impressed with it's quality, I went out and bought 'The Crown and Glory' expansion. Much to my displeasure, when I merged the two together, I found that the card size was different... Not great. I contacted FFG and they sent me a replacement of the entire run of cards from the base set! No proof of purchase required, just heaps of brownie points thrown their way.

FFG have made mistakes on around half a dozen cards in WFRP - whether errata'd, missing text, or what have you. I'm reasonably certain there are very few of their playerbase that would turn down the opportunity to get replacements for these cards.

Its not even like we are asking for something beyond the norm - I have bought countless FFG boardgames that have issued replacement cards for.

Please FFG, do the right thing....

My opinion on this is documented elsewhere - but yes! Do like you did with TI:3! Offer errata'd cards! I don't want sleeved copies!

Seconded (actually, about sixth'd, I think). I've sleeved the printouts, but would rather have replacements.

Even including the corrected cards in the new Player's Vault isn't a perfect fix: I'm buying the Vault so I can have duplicate cards for my players to share, and if only one of the two is correct, that's still less helpful.

I have sleeved print-outs of the errata PDFs, but would definitely prefer real replacement cards if FFG can make those available to buyers of the core set.
