BSG game questions

By bnorton916, in Battlestar Galactica

Just got the game from HobbyTown, they had it for $35 and I had some Christmas money.

Questions:

1. Is this game like TI3, Game of Thrones, or Arkham where you need to play it a few time to really get in to it?

What I am getting at is this a good game for people who like games but don't have a lot of chances to play games.

2. My wife likes some games like San Juan, Mystery Rummy, Peurto Rice, but would never play TI3, Arkam, etc .

Will she like this game?

3. What is the best number of players?

Thanks,

Bill

As long as you have a good teacher the game is fun. I showed a group of 4 people the game at a board game bi-weekly meeting and the next time I showed I heard they played 6 games in a row, the same 4 people, and they couldnt get enough of it.

5 to 6 players is key for a great game, 4 is enough for a good game, and 3 is an ok game. The more people the better chance for things to be jacked up.

1- I really got into it my first game after just a few rounds. I think it took some of the other players a little longer, but I think that everyone was into things half way through the first game.

2- I'm not sure. The psycology of such distrubing individuals is a closed book to me. gui%C3%B1o.gif

I'd say it is possible, but I'm not sure.

3- Generally, the more the better.

This is just after 2 games though; so don't put too much weight on it.
