I ask because I'm eagerly awaiting the investigator minis to finally get "off the boat" and to my home, but I see that unpainted minis of a few of the investigators, as well as unpainted monster minis, are being advertised for Mansions of Madness. Is anyone aware of any plans to issue painted monster minis for Arkham Horror? I would think they would want to release a few in one box but I would certainly pay to have something scary and big to drop down on top of those cardboard counters.

I'll take the deafening silence as a big "no" on that one...

They wouldn't work correctly, you randomly draw monsters, if they were minis they wouldn't all feel the same.

I don't think they would make an officially supported line of monster minis for AH. The random draw mechanic - not to mention the sheer number of monsters that are out there between all the expansions and the base - makes making figures for them unfeasible, I think.

That said, I'm sure the monster figs in MoM could be pressed into service for AH, for those who are determined to find a way to make it happen.

Why would people assume that, just because there are monster miniatures, the cardboard counters would be eliminated? A monster counter would still be drawn from the cup, but then a monster mini would be dropped down on top of it once its identity is revealed. Counters would still be used (particularly for monsters going to the Outskirts).

Given that a lot of people are buying the complete set of investigators, monsters could be packaged according to expansion.

I invested heavily in the CMG Dreamblade and am thinking about converting some of the minis into AH monsters. I have over 1000 to deal with.

I might have agreed that there are just way too many different monsters to make it feasible. But in the base game alone there are 23 different types of monsters (not counting the 5 mask monsters). 23 is a lot less than 48 (the investigators they made minis for). So who knows... I doubt they would make monster minis for all expansions, but perhaps for the base game monsters, at least.

But if anything, I'd rather they just make new versions of the monster chits where all of the information is on one side... even if that means making them bigger or rectangular in shape.
