Numberless Graves

So I got my copy of MotD. Numberless Graves is amazing. A new staple destruction neutral? Discuss.

The more I have played it the more I have found the card crapy.

Against "competitive" deck the card is quite useless, as most of them have many ways to sacrifice unit and make the card useless. At the end you pay 3 ressources for a card that you can replace in most of deck by a better card.

Compared to the dwarf mines the card is just expensive and less effective.

Not that great. I have better things to do with 3 resources than on card that could potentially net me another card. If it was 2, perhaps. But at 3? Not really.

I don't consider it bad, I even use it on my own DE deck as a "2 of".

At 2 it would be as powerfull as mining tunnels, but without any loyalty... that would be an overkill. Yes, dwarves have many sacrifice effects, but others don't, so it's seems a nice card for it's cost.

Also note that it's not a "simple" draw, as it combos with Necromancy. Could be very usefull if we get more undead, or even cards caring about the Undead trait.

(againts High Elves+Lizards it gave me about 5 cards in one match)

I agree with you, Cain...very decent card. It seems clearly meant for working with the Necro ability. :)

For sure, but sacrifice is a better, due to the benefice you take from the sacrifice, easier and more efficient way to work with necro.

I'm not sure that Sacrifice is comparable to using Numberless Graves - as Numberless Graves is meant to recycle your used Necro cards. It's Apples to Oranges unless I'm misunderstanding your point - my apologies, if so. :(

Sacrifying allow you to recycle your used necro card in a different way :(as the necro effect "put that card on the bottom of your deck at the end of the turn, if it is in play" does not happen if your necro unit is in the discard pile)

In addition :

- You can do it multiple time in a turn if you are able to sacrifice your units multiple time.

- No matter what happened, next turn you can play again your necro unit

- You get your sacrifice bonus, one more ressource on your slave pen, 2 damage on your opponent capital (and any card that allow you to sacrifice unit and get bonus).

What is less good : your unit is never again able to stay in game during your opponent turn.

I think I want to try using this in a Chaos sniping deck with Lord of Change.
