When acquiring Asylum packs now important is it to obtain all in a cycle (other than to see the whole story inclined in boxes)?
Thanks.

Not really important to get every pack of a cycle. The cards will generally work fine even if you have only the core set and one asylum pack.
Though getting AP 13 is a key AP for those who want to use the Day/Night mechanics.
Thanks for answer and pointer re #13

Sorry to ask a question that has probably been answered a hundred times but which AP exactly is #13? I'm very new to the game, I've just bought the core game, Arkham and the six Dreamlands expansions
.
Can't open them until Xmas though
Timbo
Twilight Horror, not related to a "vampire" setting, though the name suggests it
.
If the wait is too much and you want to drool over the cards (at least what they do), you can always download the spoilers for the APs:

Personally I used the pfds when I bought a mass of 9 APs to add to the mix, weighing the pros and cons of each AP.

E.g. for Dreamlands you have the Dreamers, Gugs, Ghouls, Day & Night. For The Yuggoth Contract you have the Mi-Go, the Serpents, Faculty & Students.
If you are just starting with CoC, I'd make it a priority to get all from the current AP cycle first, since these contain three copies of every card.
