Stranded

By Wayfinder, in Deathwatch

I'm a Rank 1 Black Templar Tactical Space Marine who was part of a Deathwatch Kill Team sent to Calixis, to Scintilla to wipe out an Eldar presence hidden deep in the underhive of Sibellius. We managed to wipe them all out, with the help of some Inquisition Acolytes, but I'm the only one left alive and I guess I wonder exactly how do I get off this planet?

See, we got here through an ancient Webway Gate, and we shut it down. I want to keep this character and see if I can get him back into operation as soon as I can. But I'm way over here in Calixis and not back where we started.

Should I just muscle my way out?

Stick a thumb out. Wait to be noticed by the Imperial Navy / Army.

You'll be well on your way back to a Watch Fortress before you know it.

I guess what I might want to ask is how risky might it be just to go walking around in full armor and a chain sword among the liliputians? I've had some bad incidents with Dark Heresy and Rogue Trader characters on Scintilla. How would these people react to seeing a Space Marine? How often do they see them? I'm sure a gang or two would love to have a go at him just for bragging rights.

And that gang or two better bring about 200 of their friends... or they're paste.

There would be no risk to you. Especially walking around the capitol world of the Calixus sector. People would give you a WIDE berth.

Frankly, they have probably NEVER seen a Space Marine in the flesh. If anything, you could point to a single by-passer and tell them, "You! Take me to the local Adeptus Arbites precinct", and they would comply.

Once at the local Arbites precinct, getting back to a starship would be a breeze. Once in orbit, an astropathic choir would contact watch fortress Erioch and inform them of your situation.

Cool, Thanks.

Just shoot the 10 to 20 biggest mutants and hereteks, then even a horde of 200 recidivists will disperse within 2 rounds - guaranteed. You're an Adeptus Astartes, if any lowly gangers want to give you trouble - show them why your called Angel of Death.

Conquer the planet ala Primarch style...

Yeah, seems like you could pretty much keep your finger on the trigger and walk right out of there. No one's going to get in your way, and anyone that does is going to have to be scraped off of the walls.

Its rather simple, All you have to do is walk into the judge's fortress on that world OR walk into the a temple OR walk into an administratium building OR walk into a PDF building OR walk into a nobles house OR walk into a rich merchants house OR walk into someone's spacecraft OR walk into where the astropathic messages are sent. After that you demand to send a message off world. Every single one of those people will help you, if NOTHING else than to say they helped out an Angel of Death.

If they do not help make note of them and go to the next place. There is one thing for sure, anyone who does not want to help one of the genetic decendents of the Most Holy Big E is going to be hearing about it later.

Heck it's Scintilla, you might as well walk into the Tricorn Palace and ask the inquisition for a ride.

Get a grip man!

You are roleplaying a space marine. ROLEPLAY one!

You know no fear.

You aren't trapped in the underhive with a billion gangers - they're trapped in the underhive with YOU.

As has been said before, simply make your way directly to the nearest authorities and demand passage off world.

Simple.

Space Marine are basically happy people living in a very simple world. There is only three kind of people :

- Your brothers and a few selected imperial elite (some inquisitors, some high ranking member of the adeptus Terra, etc. Only people that have proven to be true follower of the Great Emperor of Man, may his blessing be upon us). => You treat them with respect.

- The many nameless masses of the Imperium (depending on your character a planetary governor could be among them). => You speak, they obey or die. Some Space Marines have a more diplomatic approach, but you are a Black Templar. Diplomacy means compromise and there is no such word in your vocabulary.

- The rest of the universe => If not ordered to capture them for interrogation, kill them.

Simple.
