Refection casted on Mesmerism. And Random effects

I think that is' also correct to assume that in the case where a Reflected spell becomes "illegal", the Reflection resolves just like a Counterspell. Consider the case when you Reflect a Mesmerism and the original caster has no followers...

But then wouldn't the spell fail to be casted thus it could not be cast in the first place?

I think his point was that initially, Mesmerism was cast legally (original target had Followers), thus no foul there. But if Reflected back to a caster who has no Followers, then it would becomes "illegal".

so that means that reflection cannot be casted, if he can not steal a follower from the original mesmerize caster... preocupado.gif

I don't think so. You are a target of a Spell, check, so you can use Reflection to avoid getting hit with that Spell. Neither the original Mesmerism or Reflection have been illegally cast in this case. Mesmerism just ended that way, but it was, along with Reflection, legally cast to my view. Reflection to me doesn't look at what the target Spell does for its legal use, you just see a Spell targetting you, you bounce it back.

I did not think of it that way.

Good point :)
