Non-Brick and Mortar Tournaments

By BigMacRepair, in Warhammer Invasion Community

I belong to a couple of gaming groups and antoher player and myself have gotten a few players interested in Playing Invasion by demoing the game suing our decks. The are now buying the product and putting their decks together. Is there anyway that I could hold tournaments, not being a Brick and Mortar store. I would purchase kits just as a store would do and pass them out to the players. We also have two members who are well versed in the rules and thus could play and rule on the other one when each other are involved in rulings. Any help or suggestions would be welcomed and accepted.

Thanks.

I'm in a similar position, so I'd love to know if you manage to get anywhere with getting a Tournament pack from FFG.

I would need to get a tournament structure up and running so that I could really get WH:I to take off with the groups that I'm involved with. This is especially true for converting any Magic players over to WH:I. I think that they currently play within the "Friday Night Magic" system, and that system is open to non-brick-and-mortar groups. I really think that FFG need to realise that not every part of the world has an active FLGS, that has space for games playing, is happy to arrange gaming, and that is suiably located for all WH:I players to attend on a weekly basis.

Again, I would be very interested to know if you get anywhere. Do post here again.

All the best.

Kinda in a similar place, have core group of buddies that meet up to play when we can but work, wives, kids dont allow for a regular meet up time but all like to play decent and i have just introduced W:I because it is a set price and we know what we are getting (thats y we dont play ccg's he who puts the most money in wins) so we are really taking off to W:I and would like to know if FFG ever would support a basement league???

Update... I've now got hold of a League Kit. My FLGS (in the UK) ordered it in for me, quite happily. It cost me £17.50. I'll be using it to run a league. To be honest, there's nothing much in the kit, other than the prizes (playmat, and two pins/badges). But it all goes towards giving everything an air of authenticness.

Thats what we want are the playmats they are really nice to have not a have to right now we are using magic and wow mats but would rather have the ones that go to the game just a ascetic thing.
