[OCTGN2] 2nd AGOT World Tournament online (USA vs Europe)

By Gualdo, in 1. AGoT General Discussion

I'm organizing Europe part and I think Jonhatan will handle USA one. If you are european please specify it in subscription. If not specified I assume USA timezone players ;-)

What do you think about a errata of x AGENDAS. The one we were speacking about. Maximum number 3. It is not official but I think it makes sense in the meanwhile designers think about a solution.

I concur.

Depends on the format - if you are required to use the decks you took to your respective championships, then I suspect throwing a sudden minimum on the agendas would really hurt. :) If you're just going to build and play new decks, then I think it's a good idea. And also make Altar of Fire unique.

This tournament online is competitive but fun. Maybe I'll try a treaty or a greyjoy. So thre is no stress in the games :-)

Altar of fire is strong. Really strong. But I think this can be a test table. If an asshai deck will be abnormally strong thx to the location we can inform designers with apost in the forum. At the moment I don't see why to nerf them.

X Agenda it is a problem mostly all of us have posted so I think this is a near unamity decision. But If majority of players will agree we can errata them.

I agree with the idea to limit the number of proposed "The North" agendas to three.

i love love to be able to play in this would be a lot of fun

Count me in:)

King are you european or USA?

~he's from that country where people use no punctuation what was it name?

ya ya usa

I don't agree with making Altar of Fire unique, its very different from the Agenda situation (as I understand it). There are plenty of answers to a single location; The Price of War, The Battle of Deepwood Motte, War Horn, Pyromancer's Apprentice, etc. There is no way (that I know of) to stop the activity of the multiple agendas. They are OP because there are no answers to the threat they produce, it cannot be removed. A location can. I compare Altar of Fire and Frozen Outpost, and find them fairly close in power, with the Altar more powerful in Joust and the Outpost more powerful in melee.

I agree not banning or put unique altar of fire, but you cannot compare its strength with frozen outpost :-) Maybe it is most comparable with other top location like hill targa... but it is too early to find them not legal.... we will see in future tournaments... at the end the bad thing about altar is that it costs one for a such a powerful effect.

I would prefer to not use any unofficial errata.

Players so far are listed below and will be updated in first post. Tell me if I miss somebody. Let's say that we will use this week to collect more players and in the next WE we will make pairings.

Related to the X-Agenda Errata I would like to have some other opinion. If more people doesn't want this errata we will use FFG rule.

Ok, if at least one person don't want any unofficial rules, then we should play normally.

I would like to participate.

I'm from Israel so I'm in the European time zone.

I'd prefer a majority decision on this. Doesn't make sense for one person to make the rules for everyone, especially if the majority feels otherwise. For the record, my vote is a limit of three "The North" agendas. However, if the majority prefers no limit, I will accept that too.

I would consider playing. But I would likely not play if there were unofficial erratas applied.

Since it is not only one person that prefers it let's play with no errata.

While a 3x The North Agenda limit and Blood of the First Men errata should probably be made, I agree that we should follow current official guidelines. Although Dragonstone Port is very silly in its current form.

I'm OK with that, maybe it's time for designers to correct these points.

@ Gualdo: i post on french board to collect some players other than me. I feel alone right now Oo

K.

I ask kindly european guys that already subscribed and new ones to post their contact (mail, skype) so the pairings will be more confortable to organize.

I'm up for playing. I'm in the UK now, so euro time zone.
