Big turn for Darrell

By AVEC2, in Arkham Horror Second Edition

He started at Falcon Pt. During upkeep, he discarded 2 clues, filling up the Feds Raid Innsmouth track. After the raid, during the movement phase, he chartered a boat to Devil Reef, where a Dark Young was waiting for him. He threw some petrifying solution at it, which would have missed, except that he was a marksman. Then, during the encounters phase, he found an abandoned boat at the reef and rowed his way to the river docks, where he had an encounter. At the docks, he found a noxious corpse clutching a strange item in its webbed hands. It turned out to be a Warding of the Yellow Sign, which Darrell used on Y'ha-nthlei.

And of course the person playing Darrell was a novice, so he had no idea what was going on.

Precious! Its moments like these that keep Arkham so entertaining, year after year.

In one game, I forget who the character was, the following happened. The character escaped from Innsmouth Jail, getting the encounter that drops them off in Devil's Reef. The encounter there forced them down to Y'ha-nthlei. The encounter there deposited them in R'yleh and delayed them. The encounter in R'yleh sent them back to Arkham. Globetrotting?
