What does a reprint of AGoT LCG mean?

By LivinItUp, in 1. AGoT General Discussion

Hi, folks.

I recently purchased AGoT LCG from a hobby store for 25% off. When I returned home, I checked FFG's website and noticed a "reprint" of the game was "on the boat." Since the one I purchased looks like it's been on the shelf for a long time, I'm concerned it's not as up-to-date as the reprint currently on the boat. So, what I'd like to know is, what is done to such a game when the publisher issues a "reprint" version, and would you recommend I return the copy I have and purchase the reprint when it arrives in stores?

Thanks!

Its the exact same as what you have in your hands, just core set was out of stock so more were printed.

I think my friend got one of the 'new' core sets and the only difference that stood out for me was that the rulebook had different advertisements.

One or two of the cards may have been updated with corrected (more clear) wording, and the location "Lannisport Brothel" was printed as a non-unique in the first print run, when it is, in fact, unique (it should have a little black flag by its name). When the game was reprinted, this was corrected.

Ultimately, nothing of importance, and all the cards are perfectly legal in any tournament (however, they will be considered to have their updated wording, which you can find on the FAQ).

Thanks for all the replies. Although I'd prefer to have the reprint, since I think the one I bought likely has the three card issues listed in the 1.6 FAQ, I'll likely keep the copy I have. But tomorrow's the last day I can return it, so I might change my mind! gran_risa.gif

I honestly don't think there is any card difference. My copies are not first printing and I have two and my friends have one.
