Flowchart for casting?

By Ralzar, in Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay

I've been trying to get a handle on the magic rules for the last couple of days and to help me visualize it I made myself a flowchart. I was wondering if any of the supplements that are currently out contains this allready? If not, I'm thinking of polishing it up a bit and posting it here for everyone's benefit.

Oooh, that's pretty nifty. I saw it when I started getting into WFRP, but now that I have a better handle on it (and the shortcomings of the manuals) I can appreciate that a lot more. Saved and planned for printing :D

I still might do a flowchart though. I had one I found online for v2 and it was an immense help for quickly resolving casting step by step.

I'll see if I can cook one up. Charts are different for mage vs priest casting though.

Any suggestions on a good/free flowchart creator?

Can they be done up easily with Adobe or WORD?

I'd actually suggest checking the last page of this summary sheet from Gitzman's Gallery:

Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay 3rd Edition - Reference Guide - By Court Dimon v2.0

Has a flow chart and page dedicated to summarizing magic.

Game on,

Wow, that's really well made. It doesn't have quite the kind of flow chart I was thinking of though.

I noticed something, it says on the last page that if you're under your equilibrium, you gain one power at the end of the turn. I've been pouring over the magic rules the last days and I haven't seen any rule for that, allthough the "fluff" text implied a mechanic of that type. Anyone know what page that's on? Or is it something that got implemented with the Winds Of Magic box? (Haven't got that yet.)

Yes, it's written somewhere that, at the end of turn phase, under Equilibrium you gain 1 Power/Favor, above it you loose 1 Power/Favor (unless ...)

If it is not in the Wizard/Priest Core books, it is in the description of end of turn phase of the rule book i guess
