Hi folks!

Cards like "Stand your Ground" and "Reclaming the Fallen", for example, can let you play units from discard pile. So, if i have one or more units that have the restriction "Zone X only", what happens? An example: in my discard pile i have 1 Huntsmen, 1 Troll Slayer and 2 Durgnar the Bold, if the battlefield is empty, what happens? Only Durgnar and Troll Slayer enters in play? Or i play also Huntsmen in quest?

SYG simply states "put into play", which doesn't bypass zone restrictions, so can't SYG a Hero into a zone that already has a Hero. RtF is a bit more tricky. First you choose a zone, then put into play the units. On one hand, cards > rules in case of conflict, but you also do have the "put into play" phrase in there. Possibly you choose a zone, put into play in that zone all units that could go into the zone within in their limitations (so if you choose BZ, no Huntsmen for example and only 1x Durgnar).

But you put into play "all units" from your discard pile, not "all units that are allowed to be put into the chosen zone".

Is this a reasonable use for the Golden Rule?

The golden rules is about card text that are in contradiction with the rules, this is not about card text in contradiction with another card text. (for sure here we are on the borderline :-), with the "Kingdom/quest/battlefield only" section in the rulesbook, because this section is just about clarification and explaining why this is not written "put into to play only in X section" on each card with such card text and as he says the wording "put into play" is important, because it use in the keywords section of the rules).

So as there are no rulling on the card, the way Dam plays reclaiming the fallen is the most logical and moreover is the one following the rules.

The golden rule is about the rules text of a card which contradicts the text in the rulebook. This is nearly the explanation in the rulebook. If i take this literally, the text of "Reclaiming the Fallen" would overwrite the text on (for an example) "Huntsmen", which is explained in the rulebook...
