Lind of Succession for Vice President

By toddball, in Battlestar Galactica

I didn't see this covered in the rules or the FAQ...

If a player holding the Vice President title (granted via a Quorum Card, but I don't remember the name) is revealed to be a cylon, does the title follow the same succession line as the President title? I would assume so, but it isn't specifically addressed.

The only thing that card talks about is preventing the President title to go to another player through use of the administration location. So It should proceed as normal as far as the rules would read.

A strict interpretation of the rules would be (I think)...

1. The revealed Cylon keeps it, because it's not a title per se, it's a Quorum card that they do not use as an action.

2. If someone uses the administration, they must name that revealed Cylon.

3. If that revealed Cylon wins the 'election', the Vice President Quorum card is discarded, and a new president is chosen by line of succession.

For practical purposes, I'd just say it gets discarded, because it's silly that it isn't.

I believe Corey ruled somewhere it get discarded.

Yes, it gets discarded. Same as the other Quorum card that can stay in play attached to a character (don't recall the title off the top of my head) - the one that allows that character to choose the next jump location.

That would be Mission Specialist, I believe.

As an addendum: There is no line of succession for the VP.
