Hardbacks and collectors edition - question to FFG

By Sunatet, in Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay

Hi

This question was posted before about a year ago.

The answer back then was "no, there will be no collectors edition". It was due to the cost, and the nature of the product (box and tidbits).

But since we are now getting the hardbacks, and those are more collectors edition friendly than boxes filled with stuff I would like to ask that question again.

Will there be a hardback collectors edition?

Are there any plans at all for a collectors edition for this version of Warhammer?

I for one would be happy to see a 3 in 1 (Players Guide+GM Guide+Creatures Guide) leatherbound or something collectors edition of hardbacks pack.

The more, that I already own all the rules, and boxes released to this day, and since my primary target are vaults, but I plan to buy guides as well (for easy reference purposes, and cleaned up rules), I would gladly wait a bit just to be able to buy a collectors edition of the hardback books (I like fancy stuff gran_risa.gif).

Good question, i'm also interested gran_risa.gif

Ekhm

Just noticed Creature's Vault (strangely, no mention about Creature's Guide, even more strange, no mention about Signs of Faith), Game Master's Guide, Game Master's Vault and Player's Guide, Player's Vault in shop of developer on my country scheduled for next month (november).

I'm struggling between ordering all the prodducts at once in one pack, and waiting till I get some an answer on Collectors Edition.

Can You give me some answer FFG please? So I know if I should wait, or give it a go.

Preatty please gran_risa.gif <jumping from leg to leg hoping for an answer and struggling to not hit the order button yet>

As someone who is just coming into WFRP with the release of 3e, I'd like to know what plans there are for this as well. I have purchased the core set but I'd like to see something that could stand the test of time a little better.

Anyone? Anyone at all?

I like this idea.

Perhaps a huge boxed set ala "War of the Ring" and "Deathwatch" with a mega hardcover that combines the players guide & gm's guide. A set of velvet and leather bags containing glass/metal tokens & wooden tracking tokens? The card decks (actions, monsters, etc) could be fancied up with some foil embellishment perhaps? And of course a set of pre-painted minis to represent all the major careers in the game. Maybe FFG could even team up with the Campaign Coin folks to produce a set of Empire specific currency to include in the set?

All of it would of course be packaged in a wooded and leather bound "tomb" box, with a hinged lid emblazoned with the twin tailed comet on one side and the chaos star on the other!!!

One can dream right?

:)

Alright but it will cost you five hundred dollars and one soul for Tzeentch (yours or someone else's) demonio.gif

Seriously though it could be a great idea, I would probably buy one (I am a sucker for collector's editions).
