Tank: Tahlia, hands down.

Ranger: Kirga

Magic: Landric

Laurel, for being the only ranger character who can also deal respectable damage. Once you get her a couple of dice upgrades and the lucky skill, she becomes a killing machine.

Seconded, although Vyrah is IMO a better character as the Ranger due to Skye's awesomeness. Kirga is a better pure Ranger though.

Runner: Ronan/Runewitch Astarra depending on the rest of the party mix. Ronan because hes almost as good as it gets as a dedicated runner (4F, 5M, 1melee/2ranger skills and 12W/1Ar/3CT + Pico still boosts the parties hitters, RA, because her special is, well, special. And she is an excellent backup mage in her own right. Note that the new ToI runner, Okaluk and Rakash easily outstrips these two though.

Nanok and Jaes are both more-than-excellent 4th characters being very good at mixing Tank, Runner and Death Dealer rolls.

I went with Kirga mainly for the spawn block she gives, especially for RtL. Otherwise Vyrah and Skye are an awesome combo.
