NAVIGATOR...THINGY...

By LETE, in Rogue Trader Gamemasters

Hello there!

I was wondering what's that elaborate thing w/the circles most Navigators use, usually when depicted (there's one sample on RT's cover)?

Thanks!

Maybe its a force weapon in form of a house-dependent insignia.

I thought I read that Navigators were unable to use Force Weapons.

Navigators start with a best-quality metal staff. I assume it's that, and the headpiece is a Navis Nobilite crest of sorts.

Hi there!

If you have the Dark Heresy game, there's a very similar one on top of Senior Astropath Xiao's "helmet" (pg.294).

Or am I seeing things?

Thanks!

Some manner of psy focus?

It can also be a kind of Compass, used by the Navigator in the Warp. Or a compass which can be used to navigate among the stars in real space.

Nothing more than a symbolic staff indicating she or he is a Navigator and not a mutant....ward vs. fiery death at hands of the Inquisition or Angry Mob (if they recognize the symbol that is)

And may the emperor pity those who don't and try to kill the "mutant."
