Anti-Dwarf Orc Control (that still loses to Dwarfs)...

By f7eleven, in Warhammer Invasion Deck Building

Here's a quick list I put together for an Orc Control deck focused toward having a bit of game against Dwarves:

3 Spider Riders
3 Clan Moulder's Elite
3 Lobber Crew
3 Squiq Herders
3 Boar Boyz
1 Ugrok Beardburna
3 Wight Lord
2 Countess Iseara
(21)
3 Innovation
3 We'z Bigga!
3 Foot of Gork
3 Pillage
3 Troll Vomit
(15)
3 Warpstone Excavation
3 Contested Village
2 Chaos/Orc Alliance
3 Orc/Dark Elf Alliance
3 Squig Pen
(14)
So, I went with a small "go ahead and damage me" theme to combat Master Rune of Spite and that High Elf madness. Plus I like We'z Bigga into Squig Herder first turn. Foot of Gork makes it over Easy Pickin's and is there to take out Slayers of Karak Kadrin... at least forcing them to have the Stand Your Ground in order to use them. Wight Lord for bigger dudes.
I didn't like Treasure vaults since there's no other buildings, so I just filled up the slots with Alliances.
It probably still loses to Dwarves. I can see the match playing out fairly close, but if they're able to burn one zone, the second will almost certainly fall when they play Reclaiming the Fallen. Destruction needs something to remove cards in the discard pile from the game. An instant speed Troll Vomit might help too, but they can still finish you off without even attacking, thanks to Ranger.

Paging Grimgor. There's a deck on line 1 for you.

It is a sad state of affairs when we are saying "please print Tormod's Crypt, maindecking 3 of them in every deck to combat a single broken card is our only hope". (And make no mistake - if they printed a card that hosed the discard pile, it would be a 3-of in every deck right now).

@the list - yep. That's a fine orc control list. Will lose 90% of its games to Reclaiming the Fallen. Plenty to work on & tune here if RTF wasn't in the game, but since it is, move along folks... not really much point in attacking the dwarves along the unit control axis.
