Questions about Dupes and Shadows:

1) If I have a character in shadows and it's dupe in my hand, I still pay 2G to put it in shadow's right?

2) If I have a shadow character out in play, can I play my shadow dupe in my hand on it directly and bypass shadows?

3) If I have a shadow character out in play, and it's dupe in shadows...

a) Can I even have the dupe in shadows?

b) Can I play it without paying it's gold cost?

c) Can I leave it in shadows for the "# of cards in shadow" bonuses?

Remember that the cards in Shadows are not in play. As such, they do not have any impact on things that look at the number or identity of cards in play. In fact, it is usually easier to think of the cards you have in Shadows as being more like cards in a "second hand" than like cards in play.
