Well I use on session's many differnt types of music not only power metal high gothic, instrumental but also uneasy music. But for the moral crippling hymn's I would pick these:

the very old cartoon movie by Frank Frazetta and Ralph Bakshi Fire and Ice 1983 only the beginig but it is great uneasy primitive tone.

Also for more dramatic aproach for the sessions I play them music from MUSIC BOXES it pisses them. Off also I found long time ago, game by the name of DISPEL and all of its soundtracks are great for session music. And for complete anxiety this .

Besides that I'm using Alestorm, Apocalyptica, Graveworm(Deep Inside), Hammerfall(lots of stuff), Recently german Kreator, Rob Zombie, Rammstein, Helloween and many more.

The other suggestions of this tread are also great I think I will be using some of them.
