Misinterpretation of Osterknacht

By method1080, in Warhammer Invasion Rules Questions

"When this unit attacks, move one unit from the defending zone to another zone controlled by the same player"

It does not say "target" unit or "target" zone. So the defending player gets to pick the unit and zone. Not the attacker. Correct? This interpretation will change the card play ALOT. Any insight?

Ugh, why couldn't they have just used "target"? I think its still intended that the controller of Osterknacht chooses. If it was the defenders choice, it would likely say "When this unit attacks, the defending player must move one unit from the defending zone to another one of his zones" By simply saying "move" and not specifying who does the move, I think its implied that the player controlling Osterknacht gets to choose.

Agreed. At no point does the card mention that the defender does anything at all. Badly worded, but the implied "target" is the only way this card makes sense.

I think the card is grossly over powered if the attacker gets to choose which unit and zone. It's curious the card is worded with such ambiguity. How does everyone else play this card? I'm new to this awesome game and will follow the masses and their interpretation.

It's hardly the first card in this game to be overpowered (although I don't think it necesarily is compared to some of the other stuff out there), or the first to be badly worded.
