Chaos Space Marine Question!

By Peacekeeper_b, in Deathwatch

Now that we have official rules for Chaos Space Marines, I have noticed a descrepency.

There are several core starting space marine skills/talents that Chaos Space Marines do not have. Should they have these as well? Also, I assume they also have the benefit of the implants but there is no mention of this in the book.

Probably because, as antagonists, they didn't want to bog them down too much with too many talents and special abilities, as that would slow down combat.

Also, unless all Chaos Space Marines begin with Strength in the 60's, their Strength and thus their melee weapon damages are wrong.

Now, if they DO being with Strength in the 60's then factoring in the Strength enhancing power of their armour, firstly they'd have a Strength of over 80% (over 90% with Tactical Dreadnought armour) and their weapon damages are.... still wrong. :/

I think I would rather they had all the info listed, even if it bogged down combat. As combat is still gong to be bogged down the the PCs running through their list of skills and talents and traits and implants. And lets face it, if you have a question as to what a CSM ability does, that is the same ability as a normal space marine, then you woudlnt really know what the PC could do either.
