Amazon canceled my pre-order for GM Screen

First time for everything. I've had them push the date out on several RPG products in the past, but never just outright cancel a pre-order. They basically told me they were no longer expecting to get this product ever . Searching their site produces a listing, but notes it is only available from external sellers. I'm not a big fan of pre-made GM screens and usually make my own, but I'll often pick up a pre-made screen for the supplemental material given the Amazon discount and (being as I'm a Prime) free two-day shipping direct to the house. Now I have to decide if the supplemental material is worth the expense of ordering elsewhere and paying shipping or trying to find it locally at full retail plus tax.

For those that have the product already, is the adventure worth the purchase? How about the mission generator and NPCs?

I haven't read the adventure so I really can't comment on that.

The Mission Generator is not really a generator. It's 4 pages of advice on things to consider when creating a mission. It's worthwhile advice, but I don't know if it's worth the purchase of a $20.00 product if that's all you're interested in. The screen is worthwhile. I really like the GM screens that FFG produces. They are some of the sturdiest and most useful GM screens I've seen for any RGP system.

If you don't use GM screens, and you just wanted access to the supplemental materials, I'm not sure this product would be useful for you.

From what I've heard, the screen isn't the best one ever produced - several tables were just copied over from DH and RT, including those that should have been modified like gear quality with Exceptional and Mastercraft instead of Good and Best.

Having bought the screen this weekend, I really like it, and the adventure is pretty good as well, I plan on using it. Plus take into account the addition of Vespid (plus their weapons), Railguns, and several other Tau heavy weapons (plus some pretty interesting NPCs) and it was well worth the £12 I paid for it.

Yeah, Amazon was weird with the DW screen, it was listed until like the day before we heard the boat had landed, then suddenly it was no longer on the site at all (tried to find it for someone because they were having troubles and I saw it on Amazon the night before).

Yeah, the NPCs and the mission look totally worth it, I'm just really disappointed that the Craftmanship table is completely wrong, and I think one of the Weapon Qualities linked to a page that was in the middle of the Talents section, would also have been good for the weapons to have their Requisiton and Renown requirements too, and for the Horde box to tell you what flamers do with hordes!

So if you are interested in it just for the mission booklet go ahead, then you can burn the screen!
