Assassin Strike and Charge

By arkenfels, in Dark Heresy Rules Questions

Thanks so far for your comments. one thing seems clear: the rules are not clear gui%C3%B1o.gif

I think we can try in out the different was to handle this and end up with an houserule unless some errata or official clarifikation comes along.

"To get back to the original topic while retaining a little of this one (newer game systems used as Errata): Deathwatch has changed Assassin's Strike to be useable only once per round. That should definitely make it balanced even when allowing it in the midst of a Lightning Attack."

Bear in mind though, it is easy to imagine an assasin, clad in syn-skin, slicing people up while gracefully dancing about the battlefield. I can't say the same for a hulking space-marine in his hefty, astartes, power armor.

But the rule change (which has to be considered a clarification imho) was already included in Rogue Trader. Not to mention that his power armour doesn't hinder a Marines movements at all.

Thus, your calculation would be more like going from a +30 Full Auto+Short Range bonus to a +30 Point Blank.

Hate to nitpick but isn't the full auto+half move even given a -10 penalty instead of the +20 bonus? Meaning you'd end up with +30 normal full auto + short range or +20 for -10 halve move + full auto + PB.

You are correct, and the semi-auto example would be the same bonus for both possiblities.

Yeah and I second the part about Space Marines not being affected by being in power armor.
