Tyranids, Eldar and Tau.....Can I interpret them into a Dark Heresy game without the Creatures anathema?

By time-flieslove-me-now, in Dark Heresy

I'm thinking of interpreting some creatures like..... Maybe Termagaunts... or Hormagaunts, more probably rippers......

Also I would like to include some things like Tau Fire Warriors or some of the other tau species... like the Kroot maybe.....

The Eldar units would most probably be singlar units such as exiled members of the species...

Any Ideas of appropriate stat sets for them? Or a website where I could find some?

Eldar: Purge the Unclean, Rogue Trader, Lure of the Expanse, Ascension, Creatures Anathema

Tyranids: Final Sanction, Oblivion's Edge, Deathwatch, Creatures Anathema

Tau: Deathwatch

Kroot: Rogue Trader, Into the Void, Deathwatch GM's Kit

Vespid: Deathwatch GM's Kit

Website to find them, Drive Thru RPG

Termagants + Hormagaunts - In Deathwatch

Fire Warriors + Crisis Battlesuits + Drones - In Deathwatch

Kroot - In Rogue Trader + Into The Storm

Vespid - In Deathwatch GM Screen

Dire Avenger Aspect Warriors + Eldar Rangers + a named Pirate Prince - In Creatures Anathema

Eldar Corsairs - In Rogue Trader

Warlocks + Wraithguard + Pathfinders + a named Farseer - In Lure of the Expanse

Just in case you have any of those books, the stats, weapons, etc, for all of the creatures you mentioned are in those I listed above.

EDIT: ****... Peacekeeper you bloody ninja!

Thanks guys XD Ill try and get hold of some of those books... at the moment I only have the DH core rulebook. Is Deathwatch a completely seperate warhammer 40k rpg?

Wasnt there also some eldar thingy in Radicals Handbook? Plus numerous eldar weaponry spread throughout the varius books.

It uses the same ruleset, but it's a different rpg line with its own core book, yes.

The same obviously applies to Rogue Trader as well.

I'm working on an Eldar Supplement at present that is based largely off the scattered information concerning Eldar throughout all the DH books (I don't have the RT ones unfortunately) which can be used to make a few simple Eldar units atm, but with time should be usable as a fully playable game in and unto itself.

If you want it, just email me at [email protected]

(Please note it is still very early in design and I haven't finished the careers nor Psychic Powers yet. Most of the weapons and character generation systems are done however.)

Hi there!

Before you start spending a lot of money just to get stats for a couple of creatures, have a look at the free demo adventures for Deathwatch provided in the Deathwatch support section of this website. For the weaker creatures, they are "horde stats", so you need a little bit of reverse engineering to make your own stats. And these will perhaps not completely match official stats that might come up for DH later. But in the case of Tyranids, this can alway be reasoned away with difference in the genetic breeding.

If you really want ALL of the things you said, you might need to spend the money (if you want to use things matching with later releases).

Pretty much all the free adventures have critters in them. For Dark Heresy there is Edge of Darkness ( http://www.fantasyflightgames.com/ffg_content/dark-heresy/pdf/edge-of-darkness-(web).pdf ) and Shattered Hope ( http://new.fantasyflightgames.com/ffg_content/dark-heresy/pdf/shattered-hope-lo.pdf . For Rogue Trader you have Forsaken Bounty ( http://www.fantasyflightgames.com/ffg_content/rogue-trader/support/PDF/Forsaken%20Bounty%20(web%20quality).pdf ), Dark Frontier ( http://www.fantasyflightgames.com/ffg_content/rogue-trader/support/PDF/Dark%20Frontier%20(Web%20Quality).pdf ) and Trator's Nexus ( http://www.fantasyflightgames.com/ffg_content/rogue-trader/support/PDF/sabrine/sabrine-low-res.pdf ), and for Deathwatch you have Fianl Sanction ( http://www.fantasyflightgames.com/ffg_content/deathwatch/minisite/support/final-sanction-web-quality.pdf ) and Oblivion's Edge ( http://www.fantasyflightgames.com/ffg_content/deathwatch/minisite/support/oblivions-edge-web-quality.pdf )

You also have the Bronze Malifects ( http://www.fantasyflightgames.com/ffg_content/dark-heresy/pdf/dh-previews/Creatures%20Preview%201.pdf )

The Fenksworld Pit Thing ( http://www.fantasyflightgames.com/ffg_content/dark-heresy/pdf/dh-previews/Creatures%20Preview%202.pdf )

and The Seedworld Custodian Construct ( http://www.fantasyflightgames.com/ffg_content/dark-heresy/pdf/radicals-preview-2-web-quality.pdf )

And I know in the past I posted rules (home brew) for Dark Eldar, Hrud and other things on Dark Reign has have many other fans.
