Character Power Ranking

By Jackalopejay2, in Android

Hello, I have only have a few plays of Android, but my friends and I had an interesting conversation about character power rankings and I was curious what other people believe. Here is our list (again with only a few plays of the game)

#5 Psychic Clone, her abilities are a little clunky and / or seem not very useful. The nicest thing we can say about her is that she has a nice car.

#4 Bounty Hunter, she is slow, she has some decent cards. her ability to provide hits is good, but still hard to pull off a suspect kill

(The top 3 were heavily debated and numbers were changed multiple times)

#3 The Biodroid, 7 time is very good. He will get (assuming he keeps his 3rd directive) 2 more turns than everyone else. He has some solid cards. He is somewhat tethered to Haas-Bioroid and the NAPD

#2 The Corrupt Cop, He is the best for getting favors and he has a porcupine effect because usually if you play a card on him he will draw a card of yours, so people will tend to be careful what they play on him.

#1 The P.I. He has card draw ability, bigger hand size, and a good car. His drawbacks are mainly avoidable (stay away from the moon, beanstalk, and night life spaces when possible) and he is the best at working the conspiracy and is good at solving the murder as well.

What do you think?

I think Louis Blane really rocks the game. He gets favors like nothing and has a somewhat natural immunity against dark cards. You don't mess with Louis. The only thing that's important, is that you kill Tanaka as fast as possbile - then you're golden.

I agree with your ranking of the three guys above the girls. Floyd, Ray and Louis all have a powerful ability (lots of time, lots of cards, favours + twilight discounts) and a smaller drawback (directives, memories, vulnerable plots), but Caprice and Rachel don't really follow this pattern. Rachel has no major benefits (although she gets a few extra VP from her money) but no huge drawbacks either. Caprice seems to be only drawbacks: her ability to look at other people's cards isn't all that useful in practice, and she can't go into major or seedy locations without being destroyed . The sanity mechanic is interesting, as it means the result of her first week plot impacts the result of her second week plot, but that just makes her more "swingy", not better. I will see if things change after more plays though, I imagine they may.

Well, at least I can say that Caprice is possibly the most interesting character, story-wise. lengua.gif
